The French Bakery is a little quaint bakery and cafe in downtown Lafayette, CA. Known for it’s well-curated list of teas, beautiful teaware, scrumptious baked goods, mouthwatering brunch, The French Bakery has a loyal following amongst its patrons. I wanted to convey the charm of this lovely family-owned establishment on the website, where users undoubtedly will get their first taste of what is a true “tea time.” To do this, I took photos of elements that bought the tea time table setting to life and created a visual design with flowers, plates, teacups, food, and a rustic wood texture on the website. Chalkboard and a handwritten calligraphy font add to the character of the website, and gives users a sense of what to expect when they visit this little cafe in downtown Lafayette.
Update 2014: Unfortunately, due to medical reasons, the owners has since closed and sold her business.
